Jamie and Lucy volunteered to help me with the visual programmer role, which was nice as it is a rather large job. We sat and devised a list of options in terms of how the screening of work was going to work. We then posted it in the Facebook Launchpad organisation group.
We had to decide on what was going to be shown on the big screen using the time we had, as well as what to put on what macs and also what we were going to screen in the four edit suites.
The plan so far is to have all the films on the macs in 1.22 as well as other peoples additional films (a cap of 2), categorise the films for screenings within the edit suites and the trailers running on a loop on the big screen.
The running order of the trailers on the big screen at the moment is:
Inexperienced - Ashley Moran
A Star That's What We Are - Hannah Ford
Malvinas - Jake Tish
Nosy Neighbours - Jared, George, Dave
Weights - Joel Crain
Orange Blues - Ashley Watts
Filth on Film - Dan Bache
The Forest Spirit - Tom Lee
Mitte - Tommy Vosper
Emerge - Lucy, Leah, Jemma
Wild South West - Paul Whisper
Process - Tom Kirkman
Somewhere Else - Tom German
Knives - Robbie Doran
Love Is Like A Fever - Wale Atoygbe
Our next job will be to categorise the films for the Macs. Most probably Documentary, Narrative (drama), Experimental and Narrative (comedy).
I will be at the event for the majority of the day to make sure everything is running smoothly and there aren't any issues with the playback.
The edit suites are going to be used to play the works of select people, but it will be up to those people who are using the edit suites to set them up if they want them.
