In the past we have made sure that we share lifts in order to keep lifts as economically friendly as possible. Most of the document sharing I do is electronic so that I am printing out on as little paper as possible. Communications are done via email or phone calls.
Though I am hoping to start driving soon, I am planning on getting a car that is big enough to transport equipment as well as several crew members so that future small scale shoots won't use more than one car. I often commute via train if I don't have much equipment to transport as a way of getting to set.
